A warm welcome to the 30th AIVS meeting!
We are proud to organize this «anniversary meeting» in Davos, Switzerland, the beautiful highest small town of Europe.

Again - after a wonderful meeting in 2006 - the Steigenberger Hotel will be our «headquarters», where all the scientific meetings will take place as well as the common dinner for the whole group of friends. This invitation is the first possibility for registration.
The deadline for the lower registration fee and for abstract submission is January 14th, 2012. You will find the attached registration sheet also on our webpage together with all other important informations.

For registration, all participants are requested to print out the registration sheet and send it by FAX: +41 81 415 60 01 or
e-Mail: event.davos@steigenberger.ch (as a scanned document) directly to the indicated address of the Steigenberger Hotel.

Please send a copy to your National Representative who has to ratify your application.

All the prices of the registration fee and for the hotel rooms are indicated in CHF.
Since the Swiss National Bank have fixed the value of the CHF to no more than 1.20 Euros there is no serious risk of adverse currency fluctuation.

To encourage again young vascular surgeons to participate in AIVS meetings, we are offering some apartments for “Finlandia-Prize” candidates (max. 6 candidates, selection based on scientific quality of the abstract submitted).
For those who do not know Davos yet, it is one of the best winter sports paradises for skiing- and snowboard-enthusiasts.
Five extensive winter sports areas (Jakobshorn – Madrisa – Parsenn – Pischa – Rinerhorn) include about 300 km of slopes, meaning that the Davos/Klosters region is one of the biggest snowsport regions of the Alps. Wonderful winter days can also be spent without skis. 89 km of well-prepared winter walking paths offer an irresistible invitation to discover the crisp Davos countryside. You also can try snowshoe trekking, a definitely different way to soak up sunshine and energy.
